What’s the best Tablet PC for school, media (watch videos etc.) and artwork plus reading an e book?

i know ipad 2 is like really outrageous in the market, and its the best tablet blah blah.. but im really trying to look for an alternative thats more affordable than an iPad.. giving me the specific pros and cons will help a lot.. thanks
